Native Garden Youth Network

Native Garden Youth Network works with youth to develop community gardens of native plants to cultivate leadership skills within Native populations.  We are a team of artists, organizers and youth who uncover Native perspectives of the medicinal & cultural uses of native plants. From our investigation, we develop an informational guide to the plants in our ecosystem, a native plants recipe book and a collection of seeds. These tools are shared with members in each youth’s hometowns. Every year, the youth are trained to become autonomous leaders so we can expand to new native communities.
