Amaranth & Gratitude Project
The vision of the amaranth project is to answer the question: "How many years will it take for a single seed of amaranth to feed the entire world?" A bit about Amaranth, it was bannedamongst indigenous groups across North AMerica and South by the Spanish colonialists because it was red and passionate. And yet, its grains have such nutrition and positive benefits to the body. It has a higher protein content then quinoua. PLUS it is so easy to grow anywhere and everywhere, in the desert, infertile land, fertile land, sometimes rocks even! And it produces soo much grain and greens, and the stems are edible- in fact the entire plant is edible.
Ask: Please take 10-100 Seeds, plant them and see how many come up. Nurture them, put your gratitude and love into them, and then keep in touch and email graciela@peacefulchicana.com, how many seeds sprouted.
Then spread the seeds that you get and keep track of you give to and how many seeds you gave and the following year send us that information. And together we will work towards feeding the entire plant an realize that scarcity is a myth. Abundance surrounds us. As long as we nurture a single seed.
